Thank you so much to Sho, Jo and Ines for an enlightening week. It was my first detox so it was a rollercoaster of emotions and, although I find it incredibly tough at times, Sho and Jo had thought of everything and were very supportive. They gently guide everyone through the process. The juices were great and were lovingly prepared by the wonderful Iness. Iness also led fantastic food demo on the last day which has inspired me to try to make some new, healthier things !The treatments were a fantastic addition to the week. Teresa's expert hands really helped me to relax and Sho's Chakra reading was incredibly powerful and revelatory. It gave me some clarity at a time when I really needed it.Lastly, what a fabulous group we had! I feel privileged to have met such a beautiful and wholesome group of people!

I have just finished a Juice fast detox retreat with Karuna Detox Retreat in Devon. It was a wonderful experience and I am leaving feeling lighter in myself on all levels. Sho, Jo and Ness have all been so supportive and their font of knowledge is extensive allowing us all to immerse safely into the detox. I have learnt a lot about health, digestion, food, fasting, supplements, and of course myself. Nutrition talks were a great experience for my enquiring mind.Meditation and Yoga were wonderful, one per day.The group was absolutely wonderful too, with us all supporting each other through parts of the detox. Thank you Sho, Jo and Ness, I will take a lot back from this. Blessings,Debbi xxx

One of the best gifts you could ever give your mind and body. If you are considering this but are hesitant, I would say go for it! You will probably be surprised at the restorative effects this retreat can bring.I’ve been here three times now over the years, for different reasons, and have genuinely felt incredible at the end of the process on each occasion.Sho and the team have a wonderfully gentle and compassionate approach which makes the process of fasting inclusive and achievable.I would highly recommend it, whatever turning point or time in your life you are at.Andrew 🙏

If you're looking a for a UK based detox retreat that truly tends to mind, body and spirit, then I would highly recommend this one. Having never done anything like this, I can say that the whole team are fabulous. They guide and care with loving attentiveness; they are knowledgeable and professional in the best possible way. The treatments were some of the best I've ever experienced. And all in a beautiful Devon setting. Having the pool and sauna was a real bonus too. Thank you, Sho, Jo and Ines, for this gift of rejuvenation

It's been quite a ride! Many thanks to Sho for putting together an enriching and inspired seven day detox programme. Her deep knowledge of how to support and nourish our bodies and minds and willingness to share her own experience was as impressive as it was motivating. Yes, the detox was challenging at times but with the support and encouragement of a great group we all made it! In between the delicious juices and broths prepared by their specialist chef Ines there is plenty of time to enjoy a myriad of treatments including shiatsu, lymph drainage, targeted acupuncture and Swedish massage. And also to rest. A big thank you also to Jo for sharing her wealth of knowledge around food and nutrition as well as keeping us all centred and engaged. In addition, with daily yoga classes with Sho in the morning and daily meditation with Jo in the afternoon you can be assured of both a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I feel great! Thank you all 🙏🙏

The Karuna Detox is an amazing experience. From the moment you arrive and welcomed by Sho and her team you feel completely cosseted and cared for. The 5 day detox can either be with juices or, for a deeper detox, just water. Each day there are yoga sessions, meditation, massages, shiatu, all there to support you through your journey. Sho also does nutritional talks which are great. Whilst the first couple of days are tough due to withdrawal symptoms the rest of it is fairly easy. There is also a pool and sauna to chill out in. This is my 3rd one and I thoroughly enjoy them. I can’t recommend Sho and Jo and the rest of the team enough, they create an enjoyable and life changing experience. Give it a go!

This was a transformational week. The wisdom, care and compassion that was given to us all from the whole team was really wonderful & nurturing. I left with a tool kit of knowledge and practical support to assist with my sluggish gut & several months on continue to improve. Thank you Karuna.

★★★★★

Wow! What an amazingly transformative experience! The programme is so well-structured and all-encompassing of mind and body, with daily yoga and meditation, a broad range of massage/treatments and invaluable nutrition sessions. There is plenty of time to read, reflect on life, to take walks in the beautiful Devonshire country-side or just merely rest. All the while supported with great care by the Karuna Detox Team. There were some challenging days (to be expected when doing a detox), but I have come away totally revitalised and restored (a new me!) and inspired to continue on this healthy path and am already trying out the tasty recipes shared by the wonderful chef. Thank you!

Sho and her team have been absolutely amazing and truly inspiring. I've been to many detox retreats and I have to say this has been the best one so far. Sho has done so much factual research and study to gives us vital information to help us on a better path of wellness. She shares her life experiences and teachings good and bad to help you create a better understanding of life and wellbeing. Sho's 25+ years of learnings has had me absolutely spellbound! I feel so truly blessed to have shared such an amazing time with her and her team. The treatments were out of this world. The therapists had such a beautiful presence about them. And Jo with her warm smile each day. I've come away from this retreat lightened, inspired, open and most of all with peace within my heart and soul. I've learnt so much about the human body and how amazing it is and how we should love and take care of it. So thank you to all the Karuna Team. I will 100% be back. Namaste 🙏 xx

There are less than a handful of individuals who I have met that transmit and vibrate authenticity. Shoshana is one of them. She speaks from experience rather than from books or research. She shares abundantly in a way that may seem effortlessly and that no preparation is involved, but this is clearly not the case - it is backed up by many years of research, study, investigation, fact-finding and real life experience. All of this results in her connectedness with true nature. This for me hasn't just been a juice detox, it has been a detox of beliefs of the mind and most importantly a reconnection with my body. It has been an opportunity to relearn how to live in harmony with all the parts that form the magical body. It has reminded me to constantly sync in with the body and to learn its language to be able to live in a state of wellbeing, all the time.It has created a space to connect with different yet similar beings, just like the body we house.Thank you and your team (Jo, Bex, as well as the Therapists) for blessing us with such a holistic and nurturing experience!

★★★★★

Fabulous experience. It's hard to describe the transformation here you just have to experience yourself. I have never spent this kind of money or time on myself and it's been the best decision I ever made. The knowledge you gain here about nutrition, the body and yourself is invaluable. I've never received the kind of genuine care and support from a group of people in my life it's truely inspiring. Sho, Jo, Bex and the therapists are all absolutely amazing and wonderful people, they're always around, always checking in, it's so refreshing to see people doing what they love because the passion and energy just rubs off on you. Thanks so much for creating Karuna Sho what a marvellous place.

Not just a physical detox but very much an emotional release and spiritual experience, where you connect with the most amazing people. This is my 5th or 6th time at Karuna and Sho and her team create the most amazing safe space where you have absolute permission to just be who you are. No masks necessary! What a blessing!

★★★★★

If you need a detox and reset I don’t think you could find a more loving and supportive environment. Sho, Jo and the team work so hard to make it a safe place and the group were so special and kind. Colonics wasn’t for me but the juices were great! I’m amazed that I was not hungry during a 5 day fast. Lost 1.7kg - I know that’s not the purpose but a great side effect.I also loved the food demonstration on the last day and have already bought a dehydrator! Thanks again.

★★★★★

My first ever Detox experience, and it exceeded all my expectations. Although at first I was anxious about what the week would bring, I was instantly put at ease by Sho, Jo and her team. It’s not just a weight loss detox, (I lost a whole stone!) it’s much more than that. As cliched as it sounds, it really was a Journey of self reflection and understanding where I was in my life. The daily Yoga and Meditation sessions were great, as were the treatments in the week. Juices prepared daily by Bex tasted great, and the meal breaking the fast at the end of the week was delicious! It’s amazing how a group of people gathering on a wet Friday in January, can feel like best of friends in a matter of days, lots of compassion and support all round! A great start to the year!

Anil K.

★★★★★

What an amazing experience - the team were amazing and looked after us so well and the group participating were fantastic. I was quite apprehensive about coming but Sho and the team welcome you with such warmth and love that you soon realise that you’re going to be going on the most amazing journey - it’s much more than just about weight loss. The daily yoga I found a revelation and really set the day up. We did some lovely walks in the beautiful countryside and the days flowed past. Bex’s juices were amazing, refreshing and tasty!I’d highly recommend coming. I’d never done anything like this before and I felt like I learnt life changing skills!

Feeling very blessed as the people on the retreat were so lovely, friendly, caring and positive. Sho, Jo, Bex and all the therapists were so knowledgeable and amazing.I loved Sho”s yoga each morning, even when I was shaky, queasy and felt awful the yoga made me feel so much better🙏🏻 Jo”s meditation in the afternoon was so relaxing. I found it challenging this year as felt so rough, but persevered ! Feeling very proud and feeling so much better at the end of the retreat. Also lost 8 lbs which is a bonus. ★★★★★

I booked a week juice/water fast to lose a few pounds and prove I could last a week without alcohol. What I actually experienced was a total body and mind workout and leave feeling full of optimism and energy. Sho and the team are just amazing and fellow guests soon become a close knit group and in some cases, lifetime friends. I would recommend Karuna Detox Retreat to anyone that wants some time out from day to day life and to press the body reset button. Accomodation at Newhouse Farm is also 5 Star and cannot fault in any way.

This was all I hoped for and more. I’ve met some amazing people and learned a lot from them all. This is such a beautiful place and a gentle and supportive environment. I feel I’ve reunited with my body and the Earth and am full of enthusiasm for embracing a much ‘cleaner’ and healthier lifestyle.

★★★★★

Karuna has changed my life!!!!!! For the past 3 years I have been trying to find a glimmer of hope to get back on my health routine and feel like myself again after having a baby and for some reason nothing worked, I wasn’t motivated to move my body and I couldn’t stay consistent with any lifestyle change. I left Karuna a brand new woman and since coming back home I haven’t looked back. I feel a complete energy shift in myself that I can not explain. I now look forward to fuelling my body with health and moving my body every day and it’s showing :-). I’m a happy human and mother. Thank you Sho, Jo, Hayley and Theresa.

★★★★★

I could say, ‘this is amazing’, ‘wonderful’, ‘life changing’, ‘best thing I’ve ever done’ and although true, doesn’t really give a true insight into the magic of Karuna. If I had one wish it would be that every human on this planet could experience this process at least once in their lifetime. We really all are sleeping through a growing epidemic of disease and self destruction on both a physical and psychological level.Sho and her powerful and loving team show us a way to navigate through the thorny labyrinths of the toxic prison we live in. A truly enriching and eye opening experience for which I will forever be grateful.Thank you 🙏Anne

This was my first ever detox. I researched a lot of detox retreats before I booked Karunadetox. I certainly was not disappointed. Sho and her lovely team were very professional. I had the opportunity to do yoga and meditation every day. The detox was well supported by Sho and her team. Brilliant swimming pool which I used everyday. I meet some lovely like minded people like myself there. Sho has a wealth of knowledge. I found her talks very informative. I have come away with the tools to help me to live a more healthier life style. When our detox was over, we had a fantastic feast. The brilliant chef demonstrated how to make tasty plant based meals. My experience at Karunadetox was absolutely great. I would certainly book with them again!

I decided to come on a Karuna detox retreat because I was in a very bad place emotionally and it was starting to take its toll on my physical health too. I had no idea what to expect and was nervous about spending a week with a group of people that I had never met before.....I needn't have worried, this was one of the most life changing experiences I've ever had. From start to finish, Sho and the team were utterly fantastic, they were supportive, knowledgeable and passionate, I couldn't have asked for a more lovely group of people to help see me through the process. And what an inspirational bunch of fellow detoxes there were!! I will miss each and everyone of them…. we were the perfect team!! At times the detox was tough, but we all had each other, which made the world of difference. I have made some friends for life this week.I've come away feeling recharged, refreshed and with a renewed sense of joy for life.I will definitely be back again sometime in the future.Laura xx

This has been one of the best weeks of my life. Its a revolutionary way to relax unwind in a beautiful setting and at the same time give your mind body and soul a complete detox. The team here go above and beyond to provide an experience which is profoundly nourishing and nurturing. The care and attention to every single aspect of your time at Karuna feels lovingly and thoughtfully created. The talks about nutrition and wellbeing are informative and enlightening, the yoga is relaxing and grounding and the detox itself will impact you and your body in ways you could never imagine. The community spirit of my fellow detoxers was a huge part of the experience - by the end once the gourmet raw food feast begins there is so much love and compassion in the room for one another that that itself feels like the feast one of community, love and humanhood.During one of the gentle daily walks I went on with two new friends we lay in the sun and gazed at the clouds. It was absolutely magic.Thank you Karuna - I will be back! Xxx

As always Sho and the team are magnificent. The structure of the week means it does go quickly , much quicker than you imagine a week going by.I get a lot out of the talks even tho I’ve been four times, I love the handouts they give me reminders of things that I’ve maybe forgotten.Sho is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to health and nutrition., she’s also very much hands on as is Jo so if you’re struggling you can just reach out for that support.Jo held the whole group together and led beautifully, nourishing meditation daily, she is also just delicious as a person and so beautiful and caring .Kathy provides all of your juices , broths and finally food….. whoop whoopKathy has wealth of healthy eating knowledge and speaks so beautifully about all of the food you literally feel so relaxed when she’s speaking. The support here is wonderful, you just don’t feel like you’re doing this on your own…. Because you are not 🙌🏼❤️🌈Love Phoenix

Positively a life changing retreat..I was struggling to get pregnant and needed to take a break from it all and do something different for myself. This detox programme was exactly what I needed. It wasn’t easy as the toxins started leaving my body (day 2 and 3) but Sho and team were very supportive and helped me through. It was so worth it. By the end of the programme I was renewed mentally, emotionally and physically. I returned home feeling amazing. A couple of months later I found out that I was pregnant with my first baby!

★★★★★

Expect a rollercoaster journey of self love, supported by an incredible team and a diverse group of like minded people all bonded together in a common goal and you have a week with Karuna. Sho is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, the treatments on offer are all excellent and the nutrition provided by Kathy is exceptional. Jo’s warmth adds another layer of support. The venue works well. Our cottage was very clean, warm and well kept. My only advice is to take a mattress topper with you. The mattresses are brutally hard, especially for whilst detoxing.Thank you team Karuna for an incredible week, one I hope to repeat..

Life changing, A Gentle Breath of Air!Shoshana and the team are no word of a lie, miracle workers. Their informed guidance, support and help during fasting helps immensely. The morning yoga is amazing, Shoshana is wonderful teacher, and the meditation takes you to a different level in your head-space. The atmosphere which unfolds during your week, is nurturing, respectful and safe, you can participate as much or as little as you feel able to, confident knowing the team are there for you. The groups are supporting and I guarantee you will surprise yourself as we all did, how deep “the kindness of strangers” is and how you will bond and share. From the toughest of big men, to the young, the old, any size n shape. It’s a well needed breath of air, filling your lungs, body and mind with so much nourishment. An invigorating, eye-opening experience, you deserve and will be thankful for discovering and continue benefitting from, once you leave. Hole-heartedly life changing!Organisation: Brilliant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Treatments: Awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Accommodations and Location: Immaculate and Breathtaking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Yoga: Phenomenal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Meditation: inspiring ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you Big G

★★★★★

A wonderful experience. People come here with a huge variety of questions, worries, wants and needs and somehow in the course of a week, with the help of Sho and one’s fellow travellers, some decisions are made, some foundations for future living are found, and you emerge with a sense of peace and energy and a new direction. For me the physical side of the experience was less profound than the emotional awakening, although no doubt the former enabled and sustained the latter. A great spirit of comraderie and support.
